However, there are slight differences based on the style of play and origin based on history. The Blues form of music originated in the deep south of the United States in the 19th century having been started by the African Americans around the time. On the other hand, the Rhythm and Blues music began in the 1970s around the end of the disco era fueled majorly by the addition of electrical elements of sound to the black music of the time with the aim of creating smooth dance floor sounds (Cahoon, 2014). The two origins of the two forms of music are slightly similar but different because the Blues form of music started earlier than the Rhythm and Blues style of music.The notes of the Blues music in the early times consisted of a single line repeated four times, however, in the 20th century significant ch anges were realized and whereby AAB pattern got introduced. The style consisted of a single line sung over the first four bars then there after its repetition over the next four then a concluding longer tone over the remaining last bars. The Rhythm and Blue, however, consisted of a drum-machine sound accompanied by stylistic rhythms and occasional saxophone-laced sound that in turn ushered in a jazz feeling and a smooth and lush vocal pattern (Curry, 2015).
